Indianapolis Museum of Art

We headed for Indy at 8:30 this morning for our second (possibly annual) trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art with Ammie, Kristen, Savannah and Lily.  The weather could not have been more perfect.  We had a picnic in the gardens of the Lily estate.  It was just lovely.

The gardens here are so vast that you could spend days wondering around in them.  It's truly magnificent.

We walked through the Lily House, which was pretty amazing.  The girls liked all the little closets and doors and had fun imagining what they could lead to.  There was a lot of talk of secret gardens going on between them.

We also walked through the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  There were some Norman Rockwell and Georgia O'Keeffe paintings to name a few.

The girls enjoyed a special room where they could make various art projects and hang them on the walls.

The fun didn't stop when we got back to Marshall.  The band concerts started back up.  Evangeline told me that she had been waiting for them to start back up for 1,000 years!  She had a great time dancing and running around with her little buddy, Anna.  She also enjoyed the cookies.
