Fall Festival

I started the Fall Festival weekend off with running the Shop With a Cop 5K.  I set a new PR for myself with a time of 28.32.  I was very pleased.

The parade, of course, is always a highlight.  Jed has more and more fun each year.  His sister and cousins were very helpful in his candy gaining efforts.

Kyle is up for reelection this year, which means his sign is proudly displayed on the Republican float...

How much candy can he hold???

Since Evangeline won the art contest last year, she was in the winner's circle this year and ineligible for the contest.  She had her drawing displayed in the window of the gallery and received a few special prizes.

The Sunday of the festival we always make one more little trip around the square to check out the antique cars and maybe get one more treat....I snapped this picture of her because I couldn't believe how grown up she looked....

Autumn In the Air

Jed loves to play hide and seek.  Once he finds a good hiding place he wants to hide in it over and over each time we play.  We always have to pretend like we don't know where he is.  Evangeline gets over it real quick, but she always plays along.  He is pictured below in the favored spot of the day...can you spot a little foot?

Snuggle puppy...

We had caterpillars in my classroom this fall.  One of them was hatching from it's chrysalis on a Friday afternoon so I took it home to release it over the weekend.  Jed helped me release him.  The docile butterfly perched on his finger before fluttering away.  It was the sweetest moment.  It even kind of fluttered up to his face as if it were giving him a kiss as it flew off.

And he looks so big eating cereal at his little table instead of his highchair....

Cardinal Lane biker club....

Drives me nuts that they both are sleeping with us every night, but my inner self loves it.

Our DEER neighbors....

There are some days when Evangeline gets ready for school and I just want to remember her cuteness forever....

No two mornings out of my back upstairs windows are ever the same.....

They finally updated the picture flag at South School.  This one still had Evangeline and all of her little classmates on it.  Had to get a picture before it came down.

Jed got these mustaches for Christmas last year.  He was very unsure about them, so we all decided to use them one day and we had just a little too much fun....

Jed needed a bigger helmet and Kyle brought home the helmet of Jed's dreams....

Jed is finally getting better at peddling this thing.  He still loves for us to take him to the top of the drive way and let him coast down...on repeat.

Silly boy in his hiked up pants....

Jed and his painted toes....he doesn't like to be left out of the fun.

Another school morning where I could not resist her cuteness.....

Reading out of a funny book to me after school.  She is a jabber jaw from the moment she steps off the shuttle bus telling me all about the details of her day.  Never want to forget...

Little Ones

Morning darlings...

Evangeline wears her cape any chance she gets.  Here we are walking to Tilson.  We have season tickets again this year with my mom for the convocation series.  She beams when someone comments on her cape.

The bottom of our hill.  It looked like a bowl of fog.....

Another trip to the dentist.  Jed LOVES going to the dentist.  He looks so forward to it.  He does all the things they ask him to do without hesitation.  The hygienists and dentist get such a kick out of him.  Both kids were excited to be in the no cavity club again.
When we were checking out they happened to be replacing a carpet square.  Dr. Steve was trying to pull it out and noticed that Jed was intently watching him.  Dr. Steve noticed that Jed was wearing him batman shirt with attached cape and told Jed that they might need some help from a super hero to yank it off the floor.  Jed marched right over and "helped" pull it off.  Everyone clapped for him.  Oh my word...he was beaming with pride.  He talked about it for the rest of the evening.

More of his sweet faces....
