I started this purse for Evangeline last year before Jed was born. She's been so eager for me to finish it. I'm so glad I did. She has barely taken it off since I handed it to her last Wednesday. I know I've said it before, but this girl is so appreciative of handmade gifts. It's such a joy to make things for her. She repeatedly tells me "thank you" and how much she loves it.
I can't remember if I mentioned that Jed started pulling up sometime in late May. He's really cruising around now. He's big stuff....
Peggy and I took Evangeline and Jed to the Martinsville fair last week. We met Grandpa Roy for dinner and then we went on some rides. Evangeline asked me that afternoon if there was a game where you through balls and try to knock down milk bottles. She must have seen this on TV or something. She was so excited to play fair games and win prizes. She even emptied out her purse to make sure she had plenty of room for all the prizes she was going to win. She was feeling very confident. She played a game were you shoot cups off of a ledge. She actually did pretty good at this game. She shot 2/3 cups off the ledge. She chose a blue plush crayon, of all things, as her prize. She also played a fishing game and won a stuffed fish.... her purse was filled with her prizes and she was a happy girl.
We took turns riding the rides with Evangeline and finished the night off with an Elephant Ear. It was loads of fun.
Jed experienced his first band concert on Friday. He seemed to really have a great time. He enjoyed rolling around on the blanket and watching all the lights and people. He bounced and danced away to a fast-paced polka. It was so cute.
Evangeline was so surprised to see that her good buddy, Hannah was there. They ran non-stop around the court house lawn. She sleeps so good on Friday nights!
