Pumpkins!

Yesterday was such a special treat.  Zachary, Candice and Cale came to visit me.  They got here at 9:00 in the morning and stayed until 3:30.  We relaxed around the house enjoying the beautiful weather and playing with Cale and Jed.  Once school was out we picked up Evangeline and took the Walters clan to the pumpkin patch.  Evangeline was surprised to see them.  She didn't know they were in town.  Here's Evangeline looking so grown up before school and wearing the sweater dress I knitted for her.

Cale is a blast to watch.  He was cruising all over the house in his little walker.  He has that thing figured out.  He can back himself out of places and turn corners like a little pro.  He liked to look at Jed and say "baby".

Evangeline filled Aunt Candice in on her day at school.

The Ag in the Classroom teacher just visited South School that day and taught the kids about the life cycle of pumpkins.  Evangeline was so excited to tell me about what she learned and to show me a book she made.  While we were at the pumpkin patch we looked for things like seeds, pumpkin blossoms, green pumpkins, etc.  I couldn't have planned that better.

And we can't forget about the littlest pumpkin....

We've had a ton of deer in our yard and around the house lately.  I believe yesterday was the first day of hunting season....I wish them well.
