Summer Fun

My, my.  Summer has been so busy that we haven't really done much relaxing yet!  Maybe this week!  Ha!

We went to Ainslee and CJ's engagement party a few weeks ago and Evangeline got a huge surprise when Ainslee asked her to be her flower girl!   Ainslee gave Evangeline a very sweet card that said "will you be my flower girl" and the gift of a bracelet that said, "flower girl" and the book Amelia Badelia Ties the Knot.  Once it sank in that Evangeline was going to be a flower girl she couldn't stop giggling.  She talked about it the whole way home and couldn't wait to show everyone her bracelet at church the next day.  She told me that she thought she missed her chance to be a flower girl when Zach and Candice eloped.  She said she is going to practice throwing petals out of a basket so she'll be all ready for the big day.

We've been enjoying the pool.  Evangeline loves having Kaiden down to swim with her.  One day last week they decided to play Pie Face after their swim.  It was hilarious to watch them play.  They were both horrified when it was their turn to stick their little face into the pie-slinging  apparatus.  Evangeline literally shook with nerves.    Once they got hit with the whipped cream they both would erupt with laughter.  It was so fun to watch.  I was cracking up because it never got old for them.  They would have kept going at it all day if they could have...

Kyle had fun playing "pickle ball" with them.

We had a big week at VBS.  Jed and Evangeline were both exhausted each day, but it was lots of fun.  Jed and Owen Ramsey hung out in the nursery together.  They are buddies, but they were over it by lunch time!

VBS was a superhero theme this year and every day of Bible School the kids made a new part of a superhero costume.  They were so cute at the end of the week with all the pieces together.

We all love being outdoors and soaking up all this lovely summer weather.   Kyle is determined to start Jed's training on every sport in the book.
