Memorial Day

It was a busy Memorial Day weekend for the Hutsons.  Kyle went to Carb Day at the race track in Indy (on the day of our 10 year wedding anniversary I might add.  I thoroughly enjoyed giving him a hard time about this :)
He had a great time with his friends, Kevin and Eric, and others.  He brought the kids a few souvenirs....

We spent Saturday in Indy at Kristen and Phil's house for a family birthday party and then headed over to check out Papa and Karen's new Indy house.  Can't wait to see it furnished.  It's beautiful.  I see lots of good times ahead in the new house.

Zachary and Candice arranged a picnic at Deming Park on Sunday.  It was quite funny because the weather held out all day on that chance of rain they had called for.  We thought we were in the clear.  Once we were all at the pavilion and eating lunch there was an all out down pour....a gully washer!  What was even funnier was that Evangeline, Brooklyn, and Cale were all with Candice's sister walking over to ride the park train when it all let loose.  They were drenched.  The kids didn't seem to mind though.  It cleared up as fast as it started and it turned out to be a very lovely picnic.

Watching kids chase bubbles is truly one of life's simple pleasures.

Evangeline had a blast being a little mother hen to Cale on the playground.  She adores him.  Soon she will have another little baby to adore.  Cale will have a baby brother in October and we are so excited! She will be a little expert on all things baby boy!

Monday was real treat when Kyle's Uncle Steve came to visit.  He hosted a fish fry at Peggy's with all the fish he had caught.  It was so good that even Evangeline ate seconds and that's really saying something!  I was quite impressed with how there was not one bone to be found!  Such skill!
