There is nothing better than this guy in the mornings. He is so full of smiles, snuggles and stories. So. Many. Stories.
Evangeline and I were huge fans of the towel art we saw each morning at the pools.
We had breakfast at a restaurant called Sky. It was on a rooftop and it was gorgeous. Boy, was it windy!
Back to the beach...
Kyle built a sand castle with the kids. Jed immediately removed the handle from the sand castle bucket, called it his crowbar and started looking for bad guys to "boom". (Thanks Scholastic Marvel Early Readers for teaching my son about crowbar booming.)
The whole beach was ours. It was our own little island paradise.....like a dream.
The kids called these yellow things "banana boats" all week. Jed was constantly singing, "get on the boat, the banana boat" (jingle from the sunscreen ad) all week.
It did my heart good to see Mr. Hutson so relaxed.
Evangeline and I enjoyed looking for sea shells. There were the cutest little shells everywhere.
The kids loved the water park too. Evangeline liked the swim up bar. She ordered drinks with names like Fairy Princess and Superman.
Afternoon treat time at Café Paris....
One morning we were approached by one of the Beaches photographers about having a family photo session. We decided to go for it since we hadn't had family pictures taken since Jed was born. We weren't sure what to expect, especially since Jed can't hold still for more than .1 second at a time. Our photographer, Rooftop, did a wonderful job I think. The pictures made a perfect souvenir.
That night we ate at Neptune's by the Sea. It was our favorite place to go. Kyle, Evangeline and I all ordered an appetizer before our entrées. Evangeline was so excited to order her own appetizer, she got a hummus plate. Kyle had the biggest plate of mussels. I tried an octopus salad.
After dinner we attended another theater performance. This night it was Alice in Wonderland. We all enjoyed it...the kids loved it.
