Jed was excited for his Valentine's Day party at preschool. He picked out these shark Valentines and got a little ball for each of his classmates to go with the cards. He loved showing me all of his Valentine loot when we got home from school.
Here's the card he signed for his teacher....
Evangeline and the Kindness Club planned a big Valentine's Day party in my classroom. They had a cookie decorating contest, Minute to Win It games and a scavenger hunt. They also invited all the teacher assistant's kids that are staying after school while their parents ride the bus, so they had an even bigger crowd. The kids came up with all the plans all by themselves. They designated someone to make the awards, make the cookies, bring supplies, etc. They did it all. It was a beautiful thing to witness...
They asked Mrs. Wolfe to come in an anonymously choose the best cookie. It was Kaiden's.
Anna Strohm made all the kids personalized award bookmarks with something positive about each kid on them....Here's the one she made for Evangeline, "the award for best leader ever".
Enjoying their cookies and juice boxes....
Minute to Win It games....marshmallow stacking....
Winner, Lily Shots...
Here is the precious group before they started their scavenger hunt....
They partnered up for the scavenger hunt. Here's the list they came up with.....
Evangeline was partners with Susie Strohm. Here are the pictures they took on the ipad….
After school on Valentine's Day Evangeline was bursting with excitement when she came to my classroom off the bus. In addition to her classroom party Valentine's, she also received a real card from a boy (Andre Burns). It was slipped into her desk. To say she was excitement was an understatement.
Here's her school party box she decorated for her classroom Valentine exchange....
I also have to point out the black eye she was sporting thanks to Jed rolling over and hitting her in his sleep. Despite the black eye she was so stinking cute telling me all about her day and showing me her Valentines.
My little Valentines....
Evangeline made the more precious Valentines for us....
The one she made for me says, "Thank you Mom for all you do. You make me happy, but never sad or blue and I really love you too, so thank you, thank you, thank you for everything and all you do. :)
Kyle's says, "Thank you, Dad for everything possible you do, and the memories we share together, me and you. And guess what, I love you too."
My classroom is so darn sweet this time of year, if I do say so myself....
The beautiful roses from my darling Kyle.....
Checking out a snowy morning....
