We had a long overdue Company Coffee gathering last week. It was so nice to see our lovely friend, Margaret. I just love these ladies. It's hard to believe that Ainslee was Evangeline's age when I started working at the Company Coffee. What a pretty person she has become.
We have lots of exciting things blooming in the classroom window right now. The kids get so excited to watch plants grow. I have lots and lots of plants in my classroom, but right now we are watching radishes, carrots and onions (planted by little Evangeline). I have to bring it home ever few nights for her to watch too. I can't believe how fast they are growing. I think you could literally sit and watch it happen. We also have daffodils. They opened one afternoon and you would have thought Santa himself made a personal visit to my class! That's one thing I love about my 1st graders...it truly is the little things. I can show them lots of those little things.
So on the gloomiest, rainiest day we had all of these nice things growing and blooming in the windows and then there was another surprise...The Tulip Company sent all of the teachers a lovely bouquet of tulips.
This little critter was hanging out by the bedroom door yesterday. Evangeline and I decided that he may have been working for the Easter Bunny. Perhaps he was scouting out good hiding places for the eggs. Oh, I love bunny cheeks.
We celebrated Wanda, Ira and Savannah's birthdays over the weekend. The little ones had fun making an Easter craft, whacking a piñata and playing on Ira's own personal tennis court.
Today is also Zachary's birthday! Happy Birthday, Little Bro! This will be a very special year for you!
