Some Things We've Done

Evangeline got a gumball machine as a bribe for not going "bumpy" a few weeks back.  You would think she struck gold.  The gumball machine has brought so much joy to this girl's life.  She's been doling out gumballs right and left to anyone she can.  She keeps a little supply of coins nearby just to be ready.  She even begged to take it next door to our new neighbors, Joe and Alice, so they could give it a try.

Evangeline took a 4 week jazz class at the end of July/early August.  She was the only one signed up, so she had private lessons.  She didn't seem to mind that she was the only one.  She didn't hold back.  She was just adorable learning a dance to some song about a tiger and Jed and I loved watching her.

Amy came to visit and we took a ride out to the middle of nowhere to a little farm stand ice cream shop that recently opened up.  It was so worth the drive.  The ice cream and homemade waffle cones were so yummy and the whole experience was charming.  The only thing I could have done without were the corn flies.

There was the Night out on the National Road.  It was also the last band concert of the summer.  We will miss them.
