A Jolly Holiday

We headed to good old Santa Claus, IN over the Labor Day weekend to take our girl to Holiday World.  This time around we stayed in a cozy little RV on scenic Lake Rudolph.  It was fun despite the fact that it rained on us almost the whole time, but by-golly we rode the rides, we swam at the water park, we had great time!  Evangeline was just thrilled with the accommodations.  She had her own little bunkroom to herself, which she slept in for about half the night.  We both had our "back to school" colds and she woke up all stuffy.  I ended up in the bunk, and she on the couch bumpy-ing and shaking the whole RV.  Eventually she decided she was scared even though I was literally 3 feet away from her on the other side of the wall and we both ended up in the same bunk.  So it wasn't the greatest night sleep, but a fabulous novelty to spend the night in an RV.
Oh yes, we had fun!

And the cutest thing was when Evangeline went to Santa's story time.  Oh, how she hung on every word.  Santa gave a nice idea for the children's letters to him: they should put what they would like him to bring them one half of the paper, and on the other half they should list what they did to make the world a better place that year.  When she sat on his lap he asked her if she could be good for another 115 days.  She totally can.  She's a good girl.  Just presh.

Before leaving the next day we had to stop at Santa's Candy Castle for their famous frozen hot chocolate.

Evangeline:  "Isn't Holiday World the most amazing thing you've ever seen in your whole life?!"
