Summer Stuff

 Afternoon naps with Daddy....

These precious pictures were taken after Jed spent the afternoon at the new Marshall pool with Ammie.  I remember the feeling of total exhaustion after a full day of swimming as a child....

And more pictures of my sleepy baby being rocked to sleep at nap time.  I love summer break because I get to do this every day.

My mom had the Walters boys a lot this summer.  Jed is always so excited to get together and play with them.

He loves me, just doesn't want to admit it....

Playing on Grandma's out of tune piano.....

We had a wall built to give some separation between the kitchen and living area.  I could not be more happy with the way it turned out.  The first few pictures were taken before the wall...

Wall going up....Jed loved watching Fredric at work.  Fredric asked him if he wanted to help and Jed told him, "I've been training for this".

I need to insert a picture of it totally done.  That will have to come in a later post.

Evangeline is starting band in the 5th grade, so she had a week of private flute lessons to acquaint her with the instrument.  During the hour she was gone Jed and I usually came home to water flowers.  He was such a big helper.

The summer reading program at the library was a super hero theme.  Jed was thrilled about the photo booth.

Mornings with Jed....

On Father's Day we had a little party for the dads in our life.  The kids swam and played badminton.  It was a joyous day.

Here are pictures from another summer day at my mom's house.  I bought a little super hero mask kit for Jed and Cale to create their own masks and armlets.  They had the best time!

The imagination is running wild here.....

Can you seriously have too many photos of a sleeping child?  NO!  Jed got a professional haircut and I was not a fan.  I was so ready for his mop to grow back out so he looked like himself again.

Dirty playing outside toes...

Playing in a summer shower....

Kyle absolutely hated this little sailor suite I bought for Jed.  So I had to wait until Kyle was in Alabama for a training to have him wear it :)

Moring jammie walks with cousins....

I wrote Jed's name in yellow and he traced it in blue and green.  I was very impressed!

Nothing better than a clean and sunny kitchen to sip my morning coffee in.
