Subzero temperatures brought us a "snow day". We found lots of things to do to keep us busy. Hot chocolate was definitely on the itinerary, as was a good cuddle in the rocking chair with Jed before I put him down for his nap.
I've been enjoying watercolor painting here and there in the past year. I have no idea what I'm doing of course, so I take lots of pictures of the process always feeling quite sure that the paint with ruin the sketch at some point....
We also tried the fun science experiment of blowing bubbles on this freezing cold day. They froze in the air! The frozen bubbles looked like glass or plastic. It was so neat.
We were all mighty thankful for our warm, cozy house.
Dad sent me this breathtaking picture of the waterfall in the woods at the farm.....
Later that same week was the 100th day at school. Evangeline's school project was to design a shirt with 100 items on it. She wanted to do a garden gnome. She drew this cute picture and we glued 100 cotton balls onto his beard. On the back she wrote out "100th Day" using a flower and stem design. It turned out super cute.
