Kaiden came over to play on Friday after school. I just happened to hear Evangeline shouting "whoa, whoa"! I looked out of my front room window to see this precious sight.... Kaiden was trying to teach Evangeline how to ride his bike. Unfortunately, Evangeline was a tad clueless on the mechanics of bike riding. She was just letting Kaiden push her along. She wasn't even peddling. I'm at least glad she is finally showing a little bit of interest in learning how to ride a bike.
Roy contacted me last week to see if Evangeline would help him enter the town scarecrow contest. Of course she was delighted to help! She spent part of Saturday and Sunday making Savannah, Lily, Evangeline and Jed scarecrows with Peggy and Roy. I remember very well the only time I ever made a scarecrow. It was in Pennsylvania with my Aunt Rita and Uncle Steve. It's a special memory I'll never forget. I know Evangeline won't forget her scarecrow experience either.
Columbus Day weekend is always a favorite of mine. We get a half day on Friday and all of Monday off which makes for a very welcome break. I got to spend lots of time with my kiddos and husband, go antiquing with my friend, Sarah, and visit with Amy. I went with Kyle, Evangeline and Jed to brunch at St. Mary's and we walked the grounds afterwards.
Jed was leaf obsessed.
