Mom and I took Evangeline and Jed on an overnight trip to McCormick's Creek State Park. We had so much fun. The first day we spent in Bloomington walking around to the various shops and cafes. We headed to the park at check-in time. Our room was so cozy and adorable. We swam in the pool, ate at the restaurant at the Inn and had ice cream on the beautiful lawn. We took a little walk before I put Jed down to bed. Mom and Evangeline spent a lot of time that evening in the lobby playing Sorry. In the morning we ate again at the lodge and then took a nice walk on the trails. Evangeline rode a pony. Jed was too horrified at the idea of riding the pony to even consider it. Jed and I sat in the shade and watched.
One memory that stands out was Jed screaming, "I'm pooping, I'm pooping! Change me!" at the top of his lungs while we were eating at the restaurant. Mom and I looked at each other in surprise, shock and horror, and then we just started cracking up because that was really all their was to do before rushing him out to change him.
We are definitely making this a annual tradition.
